Local image cache

In addition to processing images in the central DeepUnity PACSonWEB cloud environment, a medical imaging department can choose to process the images locally in a local image cache.

• Users with access to the local image cache can access these images almost instantly within the local network, rather than waiting for all images to be transferred and processed by the central DeepUnity PACSonWEB environment.

• For these users, the overview page will include all studies available through the local image cache as well as those available through the central DeepUnity PACSonWEB environment.

• For studies available through the local image cache, the Images column contains the number of images that are available in DeepUnity PACSonWEB / the number of images that are available in the local image cache (L).

For study images that are only available via the local image cache, the following features are not available:

• sharing a study (Sharing studies from the overview page)

• downloading images (Downloading studies from the overview page)

These features will become available once all images are available in the central DeepUnity PACSonWEB environment.
